WELLBEING

Join Gemma at the beautiful St Moritz Hotel on Saturday 22nd March 2025 in Wadebridge, Cornwall for a day of wellbeing by the sea.

Saturday 22nd March 2025

10am - 11am

We will start the day with a beautiful yoga class with Charlotte from Rest & Restore, designed to release stress and get your creative energy flowing. This is suitable for beginners and will be a combination of gentle somatic movement, longer-held yin poses supported by props to facilitate a deeper softening in the muscles and ending with a guided relaxation and mini-sound.

The session will be held in the beautiful yoga studio at Highcliffe, a free shuttle bus will be provided by St Moritz Hotel to take us from the hotel up to the studio and return back after the session. We will then meet the lovely Kate at Seaside Cafe at the hotel to begin our guided nature walk.

11.30am - 12.30pm

Join Kate Passmore from Cornish Explorers as we take a guided walk down along the coast path to Greenaway Beach, exploring the coastline and taking in the natural sights, sounds and textures around us. Feel free to get in for a sea dip too!

Kate is a qualified walk leader and nature wellness specialist who guides people through the Cornish coast and countryside. With the belief that green and blue spaces are a powerful source for your physical and mental health, her mission is to connect you to nature and help you tap into your environment.

After our walk we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch provided by the St Moritz Hotel kitchen, giving us an hour to relax and get to know each other, refuelling ready for our afternoon of creativity.

1.30pm - 3.30pm

After our morning of connection with our inner creativity and the stunning coastline around the hotel, we will then create a textured expression of that onto driftwood. Gemma will guide you through her creative process, using upcycled and repurposed materials and found objects to paint a shoreline beach scene onto your wood ‘canvas’. Sit back, relax and let your creativity flow!

Then between 4pm-6pm we have the opportunity to make use of the spa facilities in the hotel, you don’t have to do this if the spa isn’t your thing, you are free to head off home around 4pm. But if you wish to join, we will have a glorious 2 hour session to enjoy the crystal steam room, Nordic sauna, swimming pool and hydro pool!

If you do decide to book a room for the night, please note that this is not included in this ticket price, however you can take advantage of my 10% discount for the Cosy rooms. “I had such a wonderful day at the “Wearable Waves” workshop. It was the most fantastic combination of relaxing yoga, followed by fun-filled creative time painting on fabric. I honestly never wanted the day to end! Gemma is a fantastic, encouraging teacher and managed to patiently teach us the techniques needed to create a wave painting on our clothing item. Anyone from beginner to advanced artists would enjoy this chance to get creative in a unique way!I have come away from this workshop feeling relaxed, inspired and I also have the coolest denim ‘wave’ jacket ever!”
