Carbis Bay Shoreline

£2,200.00

64cm x 54cm canvas - framed with a 5cm deep, white wood tray frame

No the right size for your space? Contact Gemma about a bespoke commission tailored to your requirements. Or alternatively take a look at her Limited Edition Prints.

This piece focuses on the rare occasion of there being swell in Carbis Bay. A normally sheltered bay I was so thrilled to have captured the waves rolling in on this day. The sandy shoreline in this piece uses sand from the Bay mixed into the paint, creating a beautiful texture.

As with all of this collection, the white water detail has been built up using offcuts of fibreglass, a by-product of surfboard manufacturing and given to Gemma by Newquay based surfboard shaper Rochfort Customs. These offcuts are non recyclable so by Gemma re-purposing them into her art, she is helping the shaper be one step closer to being zero waste.

If you are interested in a zoom or video call to do a virtual viewing of an original piece, please contact Gemma.
