'Moors Mystery 1' Original Textured Landscape Painting
This piece, painted as a duo but can be bought as a stand alone piece, is a further study of the root systems and textures beneath the feet whilst walking through the moors. From bark, to moss, to flowing water to silt.
Gemma has used upcycled tea bag paper from Cornish business ‘Cornish Tea & Coffee’ to create the flowing texture in this piece. The end of rolls no longer usable once they get close to the end, Gemma takes them and uses them to build depth and texture in her paintings. She has uses silt and moss to create pattern and earthy marks, highlighting certain points with gold leaf, representing the glistening Autumn sunlight.
