Experience the magic of painting by the sea in this immersive workshop at Lusty Glaze Beach, Cornwall.
Join a unique beachside painting workshop at Lusty Glaze, Cornwall. Create textured seascapes on driftwood using upcycled materials. Paint outdoors by the waves or undercover on the terrace—an immersive, creative coastal experience.

Location: Lusty Glaze Beach - Lusty Glaze beach Road - Newquay - TR7 3AE
Limited to 8 people
Guided by Seascape Artist Gemma, you’ll create your own textured beach scene on a piece of driftwood, hand-collected from the Cornish coastline. Using upcycled materials to form sculptural wave textures, you’ll learn simple, impactful techniques that bring the coastal landscape to life.
What makes this workshop truly special? You’ll be painting right on the sand, with the sounds of the sea, the fresh ocean air, and the ever-changing light inspiring every brushstroke. All materials are provided, and no experience is needed—just a willingness to play, explore, and connect with nature.
If the weather shifts (as it sometimes does in Cornwall!), we’ll move to the sheltered terrace bar overlooking the beach, so you can stay cosy while still soaking in the view.
Come away with a beautiful, tactile piece of art—and a soul-soothing creative memory rooted in the elements.
Gemma will be providing all materials and equipment, including an apron but please do bring/wear clothing that you don’t mind potentially getting some paint on.
